Day 6: Favourite female-driven show

Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a deconstruction of the magical girl genre. How do magical girls get their powers? Why are they given them? How do they deal with the responsibility? What is the price of living such a life? Madoka is in a no way a light or fluffy anime, but I don’t want to spoil the plot. At twelve episodes it’s a relatively quick watch, although not an easy one. It’s dazzlingly complex, well told and something entirely new. I genuinely can’t tell you anything about it, so:
